Master of Divinity


This degree is the internationally recognized degree for Pastoral Ministry. At the online program from AIIAS, this program is defined in two alternative configurations to meet the needs of students coming from different educational backgrounds.
  1. Bachelor of Theology Graduates
  2. Master of Ministry Graduates

For Bachelor of Theology Graduates

This first configuration is designed for those who have already an undergraduate background of ministerial studies with at least 84 semester credits.

Prerequisites

To be accepted into this alternative, applicants must meet the following prerequisites:

  1. Hold a Bachelor of Theology degree of its equivalent with at least 84 undergraduate semester hours in Religion courses, and a GPA of 2.50 and above.

  2. Demonstrate a proficiency in English by certifying that English is the native language, the undergradute degree was obtained at a school where English was the medium of instruction, an acceptable score on the Michigan or TOEFL test.

  3. Pass a proficiency test in Biblical Hebrew and Greek. Any deficiency in this area may be compensated through the following courses which may count towards the degree requirements: NTST 690 Greek (3 sem. hrs.), OTST 690 Hebrew (3 sem. hrs.).

  1. Complete 72 semester hours of graduate course work as specified below, within eight years.

  2. Obtain a 2.75 minimum cummulative GPA.

For Master of Ministry Graduates

This second configuration is designed for those who have already have a Master of Ministry Degree or its equivalent, in order to obtain the MDiv degree with 36 semester hours beyond the MMin degree.

Prerequisites    TOP

To be accepted into this alternative, applicants must meet the following prerequisites:

  1. Hold a Master of Ministry degree of its equivalent with a GPA of 2.75 and above.

  2. Demonstrate a proficiency in English by certifying that English is the native language, the undergradute degree was obtained at a school where English was the medium of instruction, an acceptable score on the Michigan or TOEFL test.
  3. Pass a proficiency test in Biblical Hebrew and Greek. Any deficiency in this area may be compensated through the following courses which may count towards the degree requirements: NTST 690 Greek (3 sem. hrs.), OTST 690 Hebrew (3 sem. hrs.).

  1. Complete a minimum of 36 semester hours of graduate course work (beyond the MMin or equivalent) as needed to meet the requirements of the 72 semester hour curriculum given below. If a student has already completed a course or passed a proficiency test, they may substitute another online course in consultation with the program director.

  2. Obtain a 2.75 minimum cummulative GPA.
