Get Started Today

“I've been tremendously blessed by this week of prayer. It is truly a refreshing spiritual journey with the Lord,” says Randy Manuel, a MAED student who participated in the just concluded Online Week of Prayer, slated from March 9 to 14, 2015. The event, the first at AIIAS, has proven that distance is never a hindrance for worshipping together in a community of faith.  More than 70 online students and friends who are based in at least 31 countries around the world participated in the week-long event.

One thing that was very much appreciated by the participants were the interactive reflections after listening to the messages. These gave them the opportunity to take a look on their own faith journey and share their experiences with others. “I've gotten new insights into Abraham's journey of faith and also appreciate the posts and interactions with fellow classmates,” says Patricia Humphrey, an MPH student. Prayer requests also poured in as prayers were offered by the participants and invited special prayer leaders. “It was indeed a privilege to be prayed for,” says another participant.

Organizing an online week of prayer seemed formidable at first. Expecting people from distant places to gather together voluntarily is never easy. But with fervent prayer and inspiration from God, the week turned out to be a blessing to many. God was glorified and it became an avenue to release burdens and renew faith in God. Some also availed of the counselling services that were made available.

Because of the faith community that was created, some students are requesting that the week of prayer be extended. In fact, some students are just starting. We then would like to encourage those who missed the week of prayer to take the opportunity to continue the journey of faith and be blessed.
