Students seeking admission to any of the online programs must meet all admission requirements. They must be evaluated academically and comply with the prerequisites for the program applied for.

To process your application, follow the admission procedure below:

  1. Recent Photograph
    A recent passport size (2” x 2”) photograph.
  2. Copy of Legal Identification
Photocopy of your passport (page with name and picture) or birth certificate (in English).
  3. Copy of College/University Diploma
Photocopy of your college/university diploma(s) with certified translation if not in English.
  4. Graduate Evaluation

  5. Official Transcript of Record
Request the college where you graduated from to send AIIAS the original Official Transcript of Record, placed in a sealed envelope, by mail. This document is the most critical in the processing of your application. Be sure, therefore, that your college sends it to us as expected. Please download the Request for Official Transcript of Records Form. If the original transcript is not in English, a certified literal translation should be attached to the original. (For preliminary assessment purposes, the applicant’s copy of the official transcript may be scanned and submitted while waiting for the official copy from the school).

The medium of instruction at AIIAS is English so all prospective students are expected to show mastery of this language in the graduate level. To fulfill this requirement, applicants should get an acceptable score in a standard test of English proficiency, sent directly from an official testing center. An acceptable score means:

  1. a score of 79 on the TOEFL iBT, or
  2. a Band score average of at least 6.5 with a minimum band of 5.5 in writing on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Test.

Note: the MA Education, TESOL emphasis requires a score of 7.0 with no band below 6.5.
English test results are valid for 2 years.

Your application documents will go through assessment process by program directors, academic departments, and Academic Standards and Admissions Committee (ASAC).  Upon approval of your application, you will receive the Acceptance Letter from the Admissions office by email. This letter includes the Notification of Assessment which provides details on your prerequisites, admission status, etc.

After the admission process is completed, the AIIAS Online Services Assistant will guide you on how you can begin your studies.
